LUKE SCRUBY'S JUNIOR CAR CHAMPIONSHIP JOURNEY MAY 2022 SNETTERTON

Monday, 16 May 2022 09:58

Saturday 14th May 2022 – Snetterton Circuit, Norwich

“Race 1 saw me qualify 21st from 27 after a disappointing session where I just didn't get a clear run. Qualifying for race 2 was worse with a 24th out of 26.Race one saw me finish a creditable 17th after a real old battle, and I was buzzing for race two on Sunday.”

The Juniors were left waiting for the conclusion of a three-hour endurance race before taking to the track and Luke quickly made his way through the pack as some of the other guys struggled with the damp conditions after a scorching previous day, (The in-car computer showed 47.5 degrees heat inside at the conclusion!)

“I made my way to 13th and was realistically looking at a top ten finish before disaster struck and I was rammed from behind by another car. The collision disconnected my fuel lines and damaged the steering leaving me unable to finish”.

Luke was, as you can imagine, gutted, but his team and fellow drivers, two of whom were brand new recruits to the team, rallied round and picked his spirits up a little. The four drivers have quickly bonded and are becoming a bit of a formidable force, and now have a team motto; "MAKE IT HAPPEN".
